Well its been a while since I have written on our blog. Alot has happened over the last few months. We said goodbye to one of our team in the after school club who has gone to university.................however good news is he will be back in the holidays to help! We have been very lucky to have two new team members join us and they are settling in well.
This term our topic is moving images and imagination. Lots of activities are planned that we hope the children will enjoy.
Just a reminder to anyone enquiring about us that we collect from St Georges school in Wrotham and Trottiscliffe as well as providing a service to Culverstone Green School. We cannot offer any additional services to other school at present.
Our current newsletter can be found on the registration and booking form page.

We are settling down now into the new school year and have lots planned. New equipment was purchased over the summer and it is slowly being introduced to the children. We have a little more in our budget so will be looking to purchase more. Keep your eyes open for new additions and listen to what the children think about their new play space.
We hope that all parents and children found the transition to our new play space as smooth as possible. We love it and we hope you do to.
We are asking for comments regarding the club as a whole and a comments book is available in the setting. Please tell us what you think. Many Thanks
More news to follow soon.............

As many of you who attended know we explored the world this summer. We visited lots of countries and did activities relating to each country.
We also held our own Olympic Games with lots of events to take part in. There was a medal ceremony at the end of the three weeks of events and three children form each age group received a gold, silver or bronze medal.
This October we have lots more activities and play opportunities planned. We will be based within our new environment, which we will use as a base camp. When you book in directions will be given for where to drop off and collect your children.
We will also be using the hall as additional space and the outside areas, so we can really stretch our legs and have lots of fun.
If you want a place book now as days are filling fast. Go to the Registration and booking page to download a form.

News from the summer play scheme will be added to the site over the next few weeks. We had problems accessing the site over the summer which prevented us keeping you all updated.
The after school club starts back today and we look forward to seeing everyone and hearing about their summer adventures. Some of the children spent time with us over the summer, we have lots of pictures to show you. Welcome back and we hope you have a great school year.

We have a new team member who has joined us, please join me in welcoming Cathy who will be gaining her playwork level 3 qualification. Mark has also signed up to do his level 3 and the team wish them luck.
Rickie has completed his playwork level 2 qualification and is awaiting delivery of his certificate. Well done Rickie!
We are running an olympic theme this term in celebration of the up and coming olympics with overall winners of events receiving medals....gold silver and bronze. We plan to present these as part of an acheivements assembly early next term.
Plans are already underway to say goodbye to our wonderful year six children who we will really miss. Some of them have been with us since reception class so I might embarass myself and cry....just a bit.
We are holding stop and play sessions during term 5 and 6 after school so if the children want to stay and play for a while or you need a short stay childcare arrangement this might be for you.

We have been spending time in the outdoor space this week and it has been so nice. We are very lucky to be able to set up our playspace outdoors and also have the additional space of the field, playground and also the playroom if the children need shade. In warmer weather we will do this more, so expect to see us outside.....hats please.
I am sending out a request to all parents or anyone else in the community who has old toys or items we could use for role play to bring them into us. We really want to build on our resources to be able to offer the children as much fun as we can. have a think before you go to the tip or charity shop....can we use it at kids club? Photos of our outside fun will follow.
